For solar vehicles, the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is considered the most challenging solar race in the world. It leads from Darwin (northern part of Australia) about 3000km to the southern coast of Australia in Adelaide. The race takes place from 8th – 15th October 2017. This year it celebrates it´s 30th anniversary.

Last year, Lufft launched its “Seeking Passionate Weather Expert” contest. Hobbyist weather watchers entered by sending in a great weather photo, a self-shot weather video or a poem. No limits were placed on the contestants’ creativity. After reading numerous applications from people passionately interested in meteorology and climatology, a clear winner stood out.
