In many areas of our daily life numerous data on environmental factors have to be measured and evaluated accordingly. Modern big data systems are increasingly being used to ensure that this process can be completed within a manageable time period. But what exactly are the advantages of Big Data and what must be considered when implementing them?
Our Mexican Partner Ingeniería Geofísica y Sistema S.A. de C.V. (IGS) recently won a project of the Communication and Transport Secretary (SCT) as a final client to upgrade and install new Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) along the Federal Bridges and Highways in Querétaro in Mexico. They include eight Automatic Weather Road Weather Information Stations (RWIS) delivering road status, temperatures, friction and others.
