The Offenburg Technical Services have expanded their measurement network and equipped a bus in the city's public transport system with a MARWIS.

In Offenburg, Baden, the winter road maintenance service has already been using

MARWIS, the mobile road weather sensor from Lufft, since 2014. Now the Offenburg Technical Services have expanded their meaurement network and equipped a bus in the city’s public transport system with a MARWIS. From now on, this bus will provide valuable measurement data on the condition of the road surface and the microclimate on the roads during its daily journeys.

The presentation of the pilot project, which is unique in Germany, met with lively interest last Wednesday. Journalists from the newspapers “SWR, Badische Zeitung” and “Offenburger Tageblatt” did not miss the opportunity to take a look at the "MARWIS bus" themselves and report on it.
