Road Weather Information System network (RWIS) in Russia / Motorway M5 Ural

The Russian route M5 (also known as the Ural Highway) is a major trunk road running across a distance of 1879 km from Moscow to the Ural Mountains. In a long-term project 98 road weather information stations (RWIS) will be installed along this motorway by our partner OJSC Moscow Roads. 42 RWIS stations are already in operation.

Every station includes one of our non-invasive road condition sensor NIRS31-UMB, a camera and our compact weather station WS600-UMB.

A similar project was startet in June 2013. The "Highway management Krasnoyarsk - Irkutsk Federal Road Agency" also trusts in our partner OJSC Moscow Roads.
